The course studies how socio-economic situations in the society are
shaped by the factors like race, religion, gender and ethnicity The course will give a brief
overview of major theories regarding discrimination and is designed in such a way to enable
students to address the issues faced by downtrodden and marginalised people in the society The
course is designed in such a way by giving special focus to Kerala.
