The course provides a detailed account of working of state and politics in India. It helps the student to
understand the polity and society in India with an extensive coverage of federalism, party system and
political economy of Indian state. The course demonstrates India’s economic development from
Nehruvian period to Neoliberal period. In addition, it examines the impact of globalization on India's
political economy.
