Welcome to “Understanding FYUGP – Four Year Undergraduate Programme”.
This course is designed to help students understand the Four Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) introduced under the new higher education framework. The programme provides students with a flexible learning structure, multidisciplinary education, skill enhancement opportunities, research exposure, and multiple academic pathways.
Under Kannur University FYUGP, students can choose different academic pathways based on their interests and career goals:
• Three-Year Undergraduate Degree Pathway
• Four-Year Undergraduate Degree with Honours Pathway
• Four-Year Undergraduate Degree with Honours with Research Pathway
Through this course, students will learn about the FYUGP structure, semester system, credits, course categories, major and minor disciplines, skill courses, ability enhancement courses, internships, research opportunities, assessment methods, and academic planning.
After completing this course, students will be able to understand their programme structure and make informed decisions about their academic journey.
